I've been a fan of the popular anime RWBY since it first came out. This collection is a few of the artist's one-shots and short stories that takes place in the universe but doesn't affect the plot.

The manga is drawn well and has the same spirit of the show but can stand on it's own as a coming-of-age manga. I've been aware of the impending doom our planet is headed for but this was a wake-up call. This book urges us to change our diets and stop large scale farming. It produces a massive carbon footprint and soon we won't be able to solve it. I also enjoyed that there was a recommended viewing and reading list in the back so that there were other sources to look at and get a wider picture of the environmental crisis. Dataclysm by Christian Rudder was an interesting book to read.

Rudder was a co-founder of OKCupid a dating app that uses personal information to match people with someone who would be a good match with them. His book takes large scale numbers due to social media and dating apps and turns them into bite sized chucks of information that we can interpret and learn from. It was a really cool to see who we are, what makes us different and what brings us together. All There Is was an assigned reading for one of my college classes and it really stuck with me.

It takes several people and displays a large array of love. It is a feel good book with quick stories that will make you want to call your family and friends and tell them that you love them. This is a great reference book to own. The chapters are quick but it goes through something pretty unique and give a good overview of the person. There were some terrible women in history and this book does a good job picking out some of the best of the worst.

There are more books in this series that are more male-centric but this is by far my favorite. Michele Norris is one of the hosts of All Things Considered on NPR and in this autobiography she explores her past and her family's history while addressing race issues in America. What I found most interesting about her biography is the parallel between her family's experiences and the racial tension in America. This book follows the true story of Fadumo Korn, a Somali girl from a nomad tribe.

The core of this book is about female genital mutilation. It's a difficult book to read because there are a few graphic scenes in relation to FGM. The book talks about how FGM has changed her life and all the harmful side effects that have followed her in life. I had never read anything like Ms. Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. I picked up the novel before the Hulu show had come out.

It is a dystopian novel set in New England. The women are forbidden to use their birth names and are owned by the men.

Joe Pickett Series in Order: How to read C.J. Box books? - How To Read Me

This novel explores individualism and independence in a world dominated by men. Looking back, there was one novel that sparked my love of reading. That novel was house of the scorpion. It's a novel about friendship, survival and hope in a world run by drug lords. This novel hits a lot of heavy subjects on social, political and ethical issues.

It sparked my love for science-fiction and learning things from other points of view. Fahrenheit is named after the degree temperature that books begin to burn. Her character had so much ambition and so much power in her, which was the exact opposite of Steve. Melora Hardin Jan Levinson : When I first started to play Jan, she was incredibly straight and serious and kind of humorless.

I found that aspect of her really funny because nothing could, in any way, sway her to feel like anything had any humor to it at all. I felt like she was a little bit anxious, because everyone had come from these improv backgrounds. And then the comedy started drifting more toward her, where she actually got jokes, rather than being the straight person and being the reaction shot.

Her character started to develop. She really embraced it. His wheels just started turning in that moment. It was just so funny to see. To Jan, Michael was this guy who was kind of an idiot, but also represented this possibility for her white picket fence, which is why the dinner party is so resonant. Pre-Production A table read is a chance for actors to get familiar with the script and for the writers to see if the jokes work.

Not a lot of laughs.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Little by little, it just starts building, and I never experienced that before. The laughs kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. I remember I was just sweating through my T-shirt. This is going to be a blast. Before any show gets on the air, the network has to give notes and sign off on the script. So the writers got called in to the office to hear the notes. Greg gets on the phone and the executives are on the other line, on speakerphone.

It is. I maybe had to use up some chits to protect this episode, but I had a bunch of chits in the bank. Jan and Michael were never supposed to work out, so I think there is an element of relief and hope that they break up.

Where do they sleep? How many bedrooms is it? How is it decorated? How long is the dinner? He still tries to push through in spite of the fact that Jan is clearly on the edge and in spite of the fact that their relationship is crumbling. Oh, my God.

They hate each other! Her assistant wrote a song about her. This is just fabulous.
